A Brit paedophile has been arrested in Benidorm. The man had been under suspicion of hacking over 70 families’ home security cameras around the world. Spanish Police stated that the unnamed pedophile had worked as a babysitter and private tutor. He had acquired 1,000 images of the naked children.
Apart from this, the Brit paedophile has also been accused of selling child pornography on the dark web utilizing cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin (BTC). He was charged with harassing approximately a dozen minors and filming them naked in the video chats before threatening them, the cops revealed.
The Spanish cops have held him after they received a tip-off from colleagues in Queensland of Australia. The detectives have discovered the actual identity after trespassing the tight security that the Brit paedophile had created. The footage that he had been alleged to have been acquired by hacking the families’ indoor home security cameras. The footage consisted of British children as well as children from Canada, Brazil and the United States.
However, the age of the suspect has not been revealed. But the police mentioned that the suspect had been known to the authorities following his arrest as a minor for committing the child porn offences.
A spokesperson for Spain’s National Police has confirmed:
“He also allegedly sexually harassed at least 11 minors he filmed naked and sometimes threatened after they accessed video chats. He was very active on the dark web and had organized a system of child porn sales based on bitcoins or the exchange of images filmed by his clients.”
The National Police have revealed that the Brit paedophile had utilized various usernames online to post heinous acts and indecent images.
“National Police specialists also discovered he offered his services as a babysitter and, taking advantage of his British nationality, worked as a home tutor teaching English. This work enabled him to have around 10 pupils, which heightened the concern of investigators who decided to proceed to arrest him.”
During the search of his residence, a host of sex abuse images had been discovered. Several shreds of evidence pointed to the suspect’s use of cryptocurrencies and money transfers to people in Romania involved in child pornography (CP).
The Brit paedophile was also alleged of organizing a bitcoin or image-exchange system of child porn sales. Police mentioned that the accused has also charged commissions for acting as an intermediary between the consumers and the producers.
The police spokesman said: “The home security cameras he hacked are designed to enable parents to monitor their kids when they are not at home and can be accessed over mobiles. If they are not properly configured they are very vulnerable.”
“It has also been discovered that on at least one occasion, the suspect obtained images of the underwear of the children he tutored privately and filmed without their knowledge.”
“He is now being held on remand in prison following a court appearance as the investigation against him continues.”
